THE SMOOTHEST RED YOU’VE NEVER HEARD OF.

It’s time you got to know Saperavi, the most widely planted grape in Georgia (the country, not the state). Saperavi is the grape responsible for Crowned Beast, a dry red that is so smooth, there won’t be a single guest who won’t drink it down. This crowd pleaser tastes of fig, raisin, mint, and a touch of wood and cocoa.

This wine is not only crowd pleaser, its interesting history is an excellent icebreaker, so don’t arrive to a party without it.

A HISTORY LESSON WITH YOUR WINE?

It may be more than you bargained for, but Crowned Beast comes from the birthplace of wine, the country of Georgia. The earliest evidence of winemaking is found here in a clay pot circa 6,000 BC. The coolest part? Georgian winemakers have been using the same techniques to make their wine since then.

That’s right; even though times have changed, Georgian winemaking tradition has not. So if you want to taste what wine was like in, oh, say, 6,000 BC? Crowned Beast delivers that experience for you.

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO PAIR IT WITH?

Wine and food pairing doesn’t have to be complicated, and even though Crowned Beast might have a complex history, you don’t need to break out the clay pot and light the fire pit to make a meal that pairs with it (and in fact, we insist you don’t).

You can totally pair Crowned Beast with modern day dishes like honey roasted ham, falafel bowls, and sweet potato casserole. It will even pair beautiful with a BLT.
